The 2027 Spanish Super Cup will be staged in Istanbul, with Spanish Football Federation president Rafael Louzán insisting the decision was driven primarily by a scheduling conflict with the Asian Cup rather than security concerns surrounding the region. Formula One will introduce a sprint race in Monaco for the first time next season as the championship unveils a record 10 sprint weekends on an expanded 24-round calendar. The iconic Monte Carlo street circuit, renowned for its narrow and demanding layout, will join the sprint schedule as Formula One continues to increase the number of shortened race formats across the season.
