Hamilton admits Dutch GP Radio outburst was “Not the Best Version” of Himself
Lewis Hamilton has acknowledged that his frustrated radio messages during Sunday’s Dutch Grand Prix did not reflect his best side, taking responsibility for the comments after a tense race at Zandvoort. The seven-time Formula One world champion became increasingly frustrated while running behind Ferrari team-mate Charles Leclerc, believing the team’s delayed decision to pit Leclerc cost him a chance to challenge for a podium finish. Hamilton made his displeasure clear over the team radio after Leclerc eventually came into the pits. “Big waste of time guys, good job,” Hamilton said sarcastically. The Briton finished fourth, narrowly missing out on the podium and crossing the line less than a second behind Mercedes driver George Russell.
