Nigeria face Rwanda in African Volleyball Championship classification

Nigeria will return to action on Wednesday, September 23, as the country takes on Rwanda in the classification phase of the 2026 African Men's Nations Volleyball Championship in Tunis, Tunisia.

The encounter, scheduled for 12:00 noon at the El Menzah Hall, will determine Nigeria's position among the teams finishing between fifth and eighth at the continental championship.

Nigeria, whose campaign has included a quarter-final defeat to Morocco, will be looking to respond strongly and finish the tournament on a positive note against a Rwandan side also competing for a higher classification.

It's Game 28 of the championship, with Nigeria set to wear white jerseys, while the team's libero will be dressed in green. Rwanda will play in a blue-and-yellow combination, with its libero in yellow.

Elsewhere in the classification matches, Ghana will face Egypt at 3:00 p.m. in another 5th–8th placement encounter.

The day's programme will then shift to the semi-finals, with hosts Tunisia facing Morocco at 6:00 p.m., before Cameroon battles Algeria at 9:00 p.m., both at El Menzah Hall.

Wednesday's clash provides another opportunity for Nigeria to build on its championship experience and secure a respectable finish in the 2026 African Men's Nations Volleyball Championship.
