Louis Vuitton unveils bespoke trunk for FIFA World Cup Trophy

The FIFA World Cup trophy will make its journey to the New York–New Jersey Stadium in a bespoke Louis Vuitton trunk, with the French luxury fashion house once again entrusted with creating the carrying case for football's most coveted prize.
The handcrafted trunk features a striking gold "V" across the front, symbolising both "Victory" and "Vuitton." It is adorned with the brand's iconic monogram canvas, gold-plated brass corner protectors, and a beige leather-lined interior.
Inside, a commemorative patch celebrates the longstanding partnership between Louis Vuitton and FIFA.
This marks the fifth consecutive FIFA World Cup for which Louis Vuitton has designed the trophy trunk, having previously created the cases used at the 2010, 2014, 2018, and 2022 tournaments.
"For over a decade, Louis Vuitton and FIFA have shared an unwavering commitment to excellence, united by a common belief in sport's power to inspire and bring people together," Louis Vuitton Chairman and CEO Pietro Beccari said in a statement.
Luxury brands have maintained a strong presence in elite sports for decades.
Tiffany & Co., for instance, has crafted the Vince Lombardi Trophy, awarded to Super Bowl champions, since the inaugural NFL championship game in 1967.
Louis Vuitton also produces bespoke trophy trunks for Formula 1 under a long-term partnership with the motorsport series.
Unlike many major sporting competitions, however, there is only one FIFA World Cup trophy.
Normally housed at the FIFA Museum in Zurich, the iconic prize is brought out only for special occasions, making the opportunity to design its custom travel trunk one of the highest honours in luxury craftsmanship and global sport.
