Nigeria Mini Football appoints Mulade, Clarkson to key national roles

The Nigeria National Mini Football Association (NIMFA) has strengthened its administrative structure with the appointment of Ambassador Sheriff Mulade and Comrade Clarkson Ogo into key national positions.

In a statement released on Monday, NIMFA confirmed Mulade’s appointment as National Deputy President, while Clarkson Ogo was named Deputy Secretary of the federation.

The appointment letters were jointly signed by NIMFA President Alhaji Datti Umar Yusuf and Secretary General Paul Maduakor.

The duo officially received their letters at the Africa For Peace Games Village (APGV), where they expressed gratitude to the leadership of the association for the confidence reposed in them.

Both pledged renewed commitment to the growth and development of mini football across the country.

Speaking on the appointments, President Datti Umar Yusuf described Mulade and Clarkson as dedicated administrators who have played key roles in promoting the fast-rising sport at the state level.

“Both the Delta State Chairman, Sheriff Mulade, and the Secretary, Clarkson Ogo, are very committed to promoting this fast-rising sport in Nigeria,” Datti Umar said. 

“The Delta State Mini Football Association executives are truly championing the affairs of mini football in Nigeria, and we need them involved in the main affairs of the federation.”

Before his elevation, Sheriff Mulade served as the National Coordinator of the Center for Peace and Environmental Justice (CEPEJ), bringing years of leadership and advocacy experience to his new role.

Clarkson Ogo, a renowned journalist, is the Chief Executive Officer of Topsportsafrik, an international sports media organization.

Their appointments are widely seen as a strategic move by NIMFA to consolidate its administrative capacity as mini football continues to gain popularity and structure within Nigeria’s sporting landscape.
