Kano SWAN applaud Governor Abba Yusuf for excellent flight arrangements to National Youth Games

The Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Kano State Chapter, has commended the Kano State Government and Ministry of Youth and Sports Development for the excellent flight arrangements put in place for travel to and from the 9th National Youth Games, in Asaba, Delta State, South-South, Nigeria.

The Chairman of SWAN Kano State Chapter, Zaharadeen Saleh, expressed their immense gratitude and deep appreciation to the Governor of Kano State, Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf, and the Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Honourable Mustapha Rabiu Kwankwaso, for their foresight in providing a charter flight to transport the Kano State contingent.

"We commend the effort of our illustrious Governor Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf and Honourable Mustapha Rabiu Kwankwaso for providing a charter flight to transport our contingents to the 2025 National Youth Games. This gesture will undoubtedly yield positive results and we hope this has come to stay," Saleh stated. 

The SWAN Chairman further stressed that the provision of the charter flight demonstrates the government's commitment to supporting sports development in the state. 
 
He also added that the presence of the Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development Honourable Mustapha Kwankwaso in Asaba, the Delta State capital will not only motivate but also energize the young talents doning the colours of the State to give their all at the multi-sport event.

In a related development, SWAN Kano State Chapter appealed to the government to provide State-run Nigeria Professional League (NPFL), club side, Kano Pillars FC with new, modern vehicles to ease their transportation challenges. Emphasizing the fact that this will not only boost the morale of the players but also enhance their travel experience and aid their recovery, which will no doubt reflect in their overall performance.

The SWAN Kano State Chapter looks forward to continued support from the government, as they do not relent in promoting the sporting developments and milestones in the state.
