Osun Babes FC eye fine outing in the 2025 President Federation Cup

As we countdown to the round of 32 in the 2025 Women's President Federation Cup, teams that have secured a place in that stage of the prestigious national competition are in the final phase of their preparations.

One of such teams is Osun Babes Football Club, based in the ancient town of Osogbo, the Osun State capital, South West, Nigeria.

Your authoritative and award-winning news channel FIRST ZEALMEDIACAST BLOG, understands that the Management Team of the Club and the State Government are not leaving any stone unturned in their quest to reach the final of this year's President Federation Cup.

To this end, the Management Team of Osun Babes FC, presented the players with a brand new set of training and playing kits, that includes a new set of very colourful boots and jerseys.

Team Manager, Mr Tope Akinbade and the Club Secretary, Mrs Ronke Ogunbanwo were on hand to deliver the training and match kits to the elated players and officials.

Mrs Ronke Ogunbanwo, the Club's Scribe, had some thoughtful words for the State government under the stewardship of His Excellency Senator Ademola Adeleke for providing an enabling environment and equipment for the club and sports to flourish in the State.

Mrs Ogunbanwo appealed to the players to give their best to the team and make the State Government and the sports loving people of Osun State proud.

"The State Government is doing well to take care of you and your welfare. To whom much is given, they say much is expected, the onus is now on you players to also play your part by giving your best performances on the field," Mrs Ogunbanwo added.

The captain of the team, Victory Odanlumen, was very excited with the provisions made by the Management Team of the club that was formerly in the elite division of the domestic Women's Football League in Nigeria.

She was not only happy with the kind gesture from the State Government but was equally elated with the quality of soccer boots.

Captain Odanlumen, promised that the players will play their hearts out to ensure that the team performs well in the President Federation Cup and also gain promotion back into the Nigeria Women's Football League (NWFL). 

In the round of 32 scheduled to hold on Wednesday the 19th of March across Nigeria, Osun Babes Football Club have a date to keep with N-Youth Ladies.

Osun Babes Football Club's voyage in the last edition of the President Federation Cup ended in the quarter finals in the hands of Rivers Angeles who eventually won the competition.
