Dr Igali made this known at the Annual General Meeting of the Nigeria Wrestling Federation in Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State capital as the championship commenced. He noted that the federation has succeeded in institutionalizing the military/Paramilitary tournament christened the Comptroller General of Customs Military National Wrestling championship which inaugural edition climaxed in Abuja last week. ...30 kids from 2 IDP camps participated in the Back-to-school and Chess-in-Slums program  By Trust Ittai with additional information by PA Media    The zeal, passion and love for the game of chess is spreading very fast in schools and IDP camps in Adamawa State, North East of Nigeria. Last week particularly the zones around Yola and the IDP Camps (Internally Displaced People’s Camps) enjoyed the game of chess. The buzz came from the Chess Awareness and Back-to-school campaign put together by the Queen Vee Chess Academy in Yola. The programme was put together by Queen Vee Chess Academy run by Vivian Ibrahim, a former beauty queen in the state. The former Beauty Queen has put her energy and resources in giving children in the Internally Displaced People’s Camp opportunities for education using chess as a game channel.
