Bayelsa United appoint Abdul Maikaba as new head coach

Nigeria National League League side Bayelsa United have announced the appointment of experienced tactician Abdul Maikaba as the club's new head coach.
The former Kano Pillars manager takes over the reins of the Prosperity Team as the club looks to strengthen its fortunes ahead of the new football season.
Maikaba arrives with a wealth of coaching experience in the Nigerian top flight, having previously managed several clubs includes major Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) clubs such as Akwa United, Rangers International, Kano Pillars, and Wikki Tourists where he earned a reputation for his tactical discipline and ability to build competitive teams.
His appointment signals Bayelsa United's determination to return to the Nigeria Premier Football League after an inconsistent campaign and relegation.
The club's management will be banking on the veteran coach to instill a winning mentality and guide the Yenagoa-based side to improved performances.
Supporters of the Prosperity Team will be eager to see how Maikaba reshapes the squad as preparations begin for the upcoming season, with expectations high that his experience will help Bayelsa United challenge more strongly in domestic competitions.
