Bayelsa government appoints five-man committee to oversee Bayelsa United

The Bayelsa State Government has constituted a five-man committee to oversee the affairs of Bayelsa United for the next six months as part of efforts to strengthen the management of the Nigeria National League (NNL) side.

The announcement was made on Wednesday by the Bayelsa State Deputy Governor, Dr. Peter Akpe, during his address at the ongoing Prosperity Cup.

According to the Deputy Governor, the committee has been saddled with the responsibility of steering the affairs of the club over the next six months.

The committee will be chaired by Dr. Peter Singabele, while the other members are Sir Braveman Wodi, Mr. Godson Ekarde, and Mr. Ono K. Akpe. Mr. Ken Akpolaemi Odogu will serve as the secretary.

The appointment is expected to provide administrative leadership for Bayelsa United as the club prepares for the upcoming football season.

Further details on the committee's terms of reference and immediate priorities are expected to be announced by the state government in due course.
