It's the start of a new dawn for Nigerian sports, a signal for something better in sport as the Nigeria Olympic Committee (NOC) will be inaugurating the Olympafrica Centre and the groundbreaking of the highly anticipated Olympic Resident Estate Project.

For years, the Olympafrica Centre has quietly nurtured athletics talent across Nigeria. Now, it is stepping into the spotlight as the centerpiece of a bold new vision for sports development.

The initiative represents a strategic evolution for the NOC, combining world-class athletic facilities with an innovative residential concept designed to foster a sustainable sporting ecosystem.

At the heart of this development is the Olympic Estate, a state-of-the-art residential project integrated within the NOC grounds.

The estate embodies a “Live-Train-Play” philosophy, a model increasingly adopted globally, ensuring that elite training facilities and modern living spaces coexist seamlessly to support the next generation of Nigerian champions.

Event Details:

Date: Wednesday, April 29, 2026

Time: 11:00 AM

Venue: Olympafrica Sports Centre, Alakoso Avenue, Amuwo Odofin Estate, Lagos

Landmark: Near Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Church HQ, Oshodi-Mile 2 Expressway

The Olympafrica Centre currently boasts a standard football pitch, athletics tracks, volleyball and basketball courts, and a multi-purpose indoor sports hall—facilities that will now serve both residents of the estate and the broader sporting community.

This milestone marks a new chapter for Nigerian sports, positioning Lagos as a hub for elite athletic development and innovative sports living.
