Senior Africa Athletics Championship key to developing our athletes ahead Of Junior Worlds — Algeria team leader

The leader of Team Algeria to the Senior Africa Athletics Championship, Dr. Hafed Mohamed Amine, has described the championship as an important platform for the development of his athletes.
He stated that the competition offers the kind of exposure needed ahead of the Junior World Championships.
Dr. Amine further stated that the event has given his athletes a strong opportunity to test themselves against quality opposition and raise the standard of their performances.
He made this statement in an exclusive interview with FIRST ZEALMEDIACAST BLOG's Oluwatobiloba Zeal-Adepetu Kumoye.
He expressed that the experience gained from the Championship would play a key role in sharpening the team’s competitive edge as they continue their preparation for future international assignments.
He explained that for him and the Algerian Athletics Federation were elated by the performance of higher jumper Younes Ayachi who won gold, clearing a height of 2.22 meters.
“This is a very good Championship for my athletes because for the junior world championship, it’s a very good opportunity to develop his level of competition,” he said.
Dr. Amine also expressed gratitude to the Algerian authorities for their support, stressing that the backing of the country has made it possible for the team to compete and gain valuable experience.
“We are very grateful for the support from our country,” he added.
Algeria won two gold and two bronze medals to finish tenth on the final medal table in Accra.
