EFL clubs upgrade stadia with TVC roll-out of improved AV solutions

TVC Technology Solutions has completed a major AV rollout across 30 English Football League clubs, as clubs continue investing heavily in technology designed to keep supporters in the stadium longer.

Delivered in partnership with Uniguest, the project centred around the installation of Sky Q distribution systems throughout concourses, bars, hospitality lounges and executive areas across EFL venues.

The new systems allow live broadcasts, highlights and promotional content to be distributed seamlessly across multiple stadium zones, with clubs able to tailor viewing experiences depending on the environment.

In larger concourse areas, TVC deployed synchronised multi-screen display networks fed by centralised Sky Q systems, ensuring supporters remain connected to live action even while queueing for food or drinks.

Elsewhere, premium hospitality areas and executive boxes were given more localised control setups, allowing guests to independently switch between live matches, replay packages and other content feeds.

The rollout was commissioned partly in response to evolving broadcast regulations, but also as clubs increasingly treat stadium technology as a direct revenue-driving tool rather than a background operational necessity.
Several clubs also used the project to modernise wider digital infrastructure.

At Middlesbrough, the focus was placed on improving visibility around the club’s retail spaces through new digital signage and high-impact display screens, while Rotherham United opted for a customised Sky Q system capable of delivering low-latency 4K coverage right across the stadium.

Elsewhere, Bradford City carried out a refresh of its AV and signage network, while Grimsby Town added a large outdoor LED screen alongside new displays in hospitality lounges and suites.

Preston North End and Port Vale each upgraded with 4K screens and enhanced viewing systems introduced across executive and hospitality areas.

“The result is a great example of how AV infrastructure is evolving within the sports venue and wider hospitality environment to become an integral part of the revenue-driving model,” said TVC technical sales and projects coordinator Elliot Shepherd.
