The stage is set, the future stars are ready, and North Africa braces for a thrilling spectacle as the CAF U-17 Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2026 draws its battle lines.

From May 13 to June 2, the continent’s brightest young talents will converge on Morocco, where four fiercely competitive groups promise drama, rivalry, and the emergence of Africa’s next generation of football icons.

Hosts Morocco headline Group A, where they face stern tests against Tunisia, Egypt, and Ethiopia in what already feels like a North African showdown with no easy passage.

Group B serves up a West and Central African clash, as Côte d’Ivoire and Cameroon lock horns alongside Uganda and DR Congo—a pool packed with physicality, flair, and unpredictability.

In Group C, traditional youth football powerhouse Mali will fancy their chances, but must navigate past Angola, Tanzania, and Mozambique in a group that could produce surprise contenders.

Perhaps the most explosive lineup sits in Group D, where Senegal, South Africa, Algeria, and Ghana collide in what many are already calling the “group of death.”

With pride, continental glory, and global attention at stake, the tournament is more than just a competition, it’s a launching pad. From dusty academies to grand stadiums, dreams will be tested, heroes will rise, and Africa’s football future will take center stage.

The competition, which is scheduled to take place in Morocco from May 13 to June 2, will feature 16 of Africa’s top youth teams battling for continental glory.

The tournament will also serve as qualification for the FIFA U-17 World Cup, with all eight quarter-finalists guaranteed a place.

Two additional best third-placed teams will complete Africa’s ten slots at the global competition.

The Black Starlets are aiming to return to the World Cup for the first time since 2017, when they reached the quarter-finals in India.
