The Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF) has paid glowing tribute to Gianni Infantino, applauding his decade-long leadership as President of FIFA and his impact on the global game.
Marking 10 years of Infantino’s presidency, CAF President Patrice Motsepe described the Swiss football administrator as a steadfast ally of African football and a driving force behind the sport’s worldwide growth.
“CAF congratulates Gianni Infantino on the excellent leadership that he has provided as FIFA President over the past 10 years and for his enormous contribution to the development and growth of football throughout the world,” Motsepe said.
He emphasized that under Infantino’s stewardship, African football has enjoyed strengthened partnerships and greater global recognition, noting that both the continent and the wider football family have found in him “a loyal and trustworthy friend and partner.”
Motsepe further wished Infantino good health and continued success, underscoring the close working relationship between CAF and FIFA during a decade many observers consider pivotal for the expansion and commercialization of the modern game.
With football’s global footprint widening and investment in development programs increasing, CAF’s message signals strong continental backing for Infantino’s leadership as he enters his second decade at the helm of world football.
