Super Eagles goalkeeper Adebayo Adeleye declares readiness for Rwanda match



Super Eagles goalkeeper, Adebayo Adeleye, has expressed confidence in his team's ability to secure a win in their crucial 2026 World Cup Qualifiers against Rwanda, scheduled to take place at the Goodwill Akpabio Stadium, Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital, South-South, Nigeria.
 
Speaking ahead of the crucial match, Adeleye said they're well aware of what is at stake and they will do their best to get the job done.
 
"We are ready for Rwanda, they must fall. Everybody is ready for the game. We know what's at stake, and we can't play with this opportunity. We'll do everything to make sure we beat Rwanda."

Adeleye highlighted the team's morale as another factor that will ensure the Super Eagles' victory.
 
"The spirit in camp is very high. We're ready to soar high. May God almighty give us the victory, insha Allah." This declaration underscores the team's determination and optimism as they prepare to face Rwanda."

Adebayo Adeleye, who plays for Greek side FC Volos, has been impressive in his recent outings and his performances for the Greek top-flight club has not only returned the young shotstopper to the Super Eagles squad, but also garnered alot of attention. 
 
In his previous stint with Hapoel Jerusalem, Adeleye demonstrated exceptional goalkeeping skills, keeping 19 clean sheets in the 2020/21 season and earning a nomination for the best goalkeeper in the league.

✓ Signed a two-year contract with FC Volos in July 2025
✓ Made his Super Eagles debut in June 2023 against Sierra Leone, (2023 AFCON Qualifiier)
