La Liga announces new US community partnership
La Liga and the US Soccer Foundation (USSF) have announced a new partnership, magnifying their collaboration as next year’s World Cup looms.
The Spanish top flight will support US fundraising efforts at El Partidazo fan-focused events across the country throughout the 2025/26 La Liga season as well as supporting the Foundation’s community efforts.
The El Partidazo watch parties are designed to give American audiences a flavour of Spanish football and make it easier to connect over their favourite La Liga teams.
Various La Liga legends, including former Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas and Barca’s Ballon d’Or winner Rivaldo, have attended El Partidazo events since its conception in 2023, adding another incentive to a project already bustling with enthusiasm.
The deal also detailed that La Liga will serve as a sponsor of the Unity Cup in spring 2026, and will bolster the USSF’s sweeping charitable efforts to grow the game in Europe.
“We are on a mission to provide more than one million children each year in under-resourced communities with access to the many benefits of our game and installing 1,000 mini-pitches in the communities where they live and go to school,” said Ed Foster-Simeon, USSF President & CEO.
“Our partnership with La Liga expands these opportunities to positively impact youth – especially as excitement builds for next summer’s 2026 FIFA World Cup.”
Boris Gartner, La Liga North America Chairman and Relevent President & Partner said: “Soccer isn’t just a sport—it’s a platform and tool to create opportunity and enact positive change, especially in under-resourced communities.
“Working in partnership with the U.S. Soccer Foundation who are spearheading life-changing initiatives across the country is a testament to the long-term investment La Liga has made in making the Beautiful Game more accessible to millions of Americans across the country.”
