First batch of Team Kenya leaves for Tokyo

The first batch of Team Kenya to the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo, Japan has departed the Nairobi, the Kenyan capital.

Radiating joy and confidence, the team is carrying with them great hopes and ambitions.

The team is led by senior Athletics Kenya officials, among them the National Olympic Committee of Kenya 1st Deputy President and Athletics Kenya Youth Development Director Barnaba Korir.

The team embarked on their journey to Tokyo, ready to proudly fly the Kenyan flag and challenge the world.

58 athletes will be representing Kenya in Tokyo, Japan.
