The recently concluded Mainland Summer Camp 2025, tagged  'Legends Meet Future Stars', organized by Springsoca United Academy, lived up to its billing, as former Super Eagles defender Ifeanyi Udeze, graced the camp to mentor the promising young talents.

The camp, which was held at the Legacy Pitch and National Institute for Sports training ground at the National Stadium, Surulere, South-West, Nigeria harnessed technical drills with fitness and training sessions as well as a mentorship program for aspiring footballers who were between the ages of 5 to 20 years.

During the program, former Nigeria international Ifeanyi Udeze, shared some of his experiences with the youngsters, encouraging them to combine discipline with hard work.

Here is a snipet of his pep talk; “Football has given me everything I have today, but it took focus and sacrifice. I see bright stars in this Springsoca camp, and with consistency, you can go far.”

The summer camp that has a tradition of hosting national football icons, in a bid to inspire the young players with first-hand knowledge from experienced professionals further grounded the young footballers.

Etebo Oghenekaro, Victor Osimhen and John Ogu are some of the stars who have featured previous editions of the camp.

The Parents and guardians of the participants had nothing but words of praise for the academy, highlighting the structured programmes that have been well embedded in the camp and merged with an excellent mix of learning, fun, and character-building.

The high turnout at this year's edition of the ever expanding initiative, further bolstered Springsoca United Academy’s commitment to youth development and football mentorship in the country, as over 150 promising talents were in attendance.
