Zambia's MTN Super League Champions, Power Dynamos started their title defense with a win while Nchanga Rangers have shot to the summit of the log table following their second win of the season.
Aba yellow opened their 2025/26 MTN Super League campaign on a positive note after edging Green Buffaloes 2-1 in their Week two encounter at Edwin Imboela Stadium.
The fixture marked the defending Champions first league outing of the season, having missed week one due to their international friendly engagement in Rwanda.
Green Buffaloes made a bright start and struck first in the 10 minutes through Bornwell Mwape, putting the visitors under pressure.
However, Power Dynamos responded strongly and leveled matters in the 33rd minute through the club’s last season top scorer, Brian Masanyinga who benefited from a well taken set piece.
In the second half, Linos Makwaza Jr gave Power Dynamos the lead with a close range headed goal.
Despite the home side’s attempts to crawl back into the game, the defending Champions held firm until the final whistle to win the match 2-1.
The 2-1 victory sees Power Dynamos bag their first three points of the season, setting the tone as they chase another successful campaign.
In Choma Christopher Itaka scored the only goal of the match, his second of the season to give Nchanga Rangers a narrow 1-0 win.
The win takes the Chingola based outfit to the summit of the log table.
