Three graduates of Segun International College and Sports Academy (SOCA) in Wasimi, Ogun State, South-West, Nigeria, have excelled both academically and in sports while studying at Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science, Chennai, India, on full scholarships.

The graduates, Avi Eniola Oyeinlayefa, Osaro Osaretin Destiny, and Bello Shamsudeen, achieved outstanding results despite being in sports management and civil engineering programs.

Dr Olusegun Odegbami revealed that Avi Eniola Oyeinlayefa graduated with a First Class Honours degree in Sports Management and has been offered a postgraduate program on a bursary starting September, 2025.

Meanwhile, Osaro Osaretin Destiny graduated with a First Class Honours degree in Sports Management despite dealing with injuries. He has also been offered admission for a Master’s degree at Lithuania Sports University and final year of Civil Engineering student, Bello Shamsudeen has a very good GPA.
Dr Odegbami (MON, OLY, AFNIIA, FNIS) stressed that, “SOCA’s unique program combines sports and academics in its curriculum.
Students at SOCA are not necessarily the most talented in sports but have a passion for sports and academics.
Collaborations with foreign institutions like Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science benefit all parties involved.”

A few places remain for boys and girls to join the SOCA community starting September 14, 2025.
