John Dosu pledges N50,000 for NNL Goalkeeper of the Season
In a bid to encourage and motivate the young goalkeepering talents in the Nigeria National League (NNL), a prominent figure in Nigerian football circuit, John Disu, has pledged to reward the best goalkeeper in the Nigerian second division with 50,000 naira at the end of the season.
Dosu who expressed his desire to encourage young goalkeepers and bring out the best them, emphasized that the current generation of players are privileged to more advantages and opportunities than he had during his active playing days.
"The money is small, but I'm doing what I can. I urge anyone who wants to support the Nigeria National League Goalkeeper Initiative to do so, so we can collectively bring out the best in our young goalkeepering talents.”
John Dosu's gesture is a welcome development for the Nigeria National League and it's expected to boost the morale of goalkeepers in the league. The initiative also highlights the importance of recognizing and rewarding the numerous talents in Nigerian football.
This is one of the notable NNL Goalkeeper initiatives that will definitely encourage goaltenters to put more effort into their speciality and hopefully in the nearest future the country will witness the rise of shortstoppers who rose from these admirable beginnings to national glory.
