Team Kwara's contingent to the 22nd National Sports Festival tagged Gateway Games, secured more medals on Day 8 of the sports feast, holding in Abeokuta, Ogun State, South-West, Nigeria.
 
Lukman Bashirat was one lady who excelled in the colours of Kwara State snatching a bronze medal for the State in the Deaf Women’s Singles Table Tennis event.
 
Her catch adds to the medal score of the state and highlights the incredible talent and determination of Kwara’s athletes across all sports.

In Squash, Team Kwara has annex a spot in the final of the Mixed doubles event, as they outplayed Team Delta 
 
The Afonja Warriors calculated and perfected an impressive victory in straight sets 11-7, 11-5 over Delta State.

The duo will now face Team Lagos in the final match scheduled for Tuesday at 11:00 AM at the Alake Sports Centre.

Kwara fans are hopeful for another gold as the squash team continues their remarkable run in the tournament.
