Ogun Govt Organizes Medical Check-Up For Athletes

In preparation for the forthcoming National Youth Games scheduled to take place in Asaba, Delta State, Ogun State Government has organised a comprehensive medical check-up for all athletes representing the state.
The exercise, which was conducted under the supervision of qualified medical personnel, was aimed at ensuring the physical fitness and overall health condition of every athlete ahead of their departure.

Routine checks, including vital signs, general body examination, and fitness assessments, were carried out to ascertain the readiness of the athletes for the rigors of the competition.

According to officials, the initiative underscores the government’s commitment to the welfare of athletes and its determination to provide them with the best support system to excel at the Games.

The medical screening exercise also serves as a precautionary measure to identify and address any potential health issues early, thereby safeguarding the well-being of the contingent.

The State Sports Council expressed gratitude to the government for prioritising the health of the athletes and reaffirmed that the state’s contingent is in high spirits, well-prepared, and eager to make the state proud at the National Youth Games.
