Team Nigeria once again proved their mettle on the global stage, storming to fifth place overall at the 2025 Islamic Solidarity Games in Riyadh after 8 days of action.

Team Nigeria has an impressive haul of 6 gold, 5 silver, and 3 bronze medals, a testament to the nation’s growing dominance across multiple sporting fronts.

While powerhouse nations like Türkiye and Uzbekistan topped the charts, Nigeria emerged as Africa’s second best performer behind Egypt.

From the weightlifting hall to the boxing, the Nigerian flag flew high and proud, a symbol of grit, speed, and national pride.

Nigerian lifters dazzled spectators with record-breaking performances and fearless determination, embodying the spirit of resilience that defines the nation’s sporting tradition. Each medal told a story of hard work and heart, from the mat to the ring.

As the enters Day 9 in Riyadh, Team Nigeria’s fifth-place finish stands as a statement of intent, the green-and-white brigade isn’t just participating anymore; they’re competing to win. 

And with LA 2028 on the horizon, this could well be the dawn of another golden era for Nigerian sport.
