Chukwuebuka Enekwechi advances into men's shot put final in Tokyo

‎Nigeria’s 'Mr reliable' Chukwuebuka Enekwechi has advanced into the men’s Shot Put final at the 2025 World Athletics Championships in Tokyo, Japan.

The U.S.-born Nigerian thrower secured his place in the final with two impressive throws of 20.83m, finishing 5th in Group A and 7th overall to secure his third consecutive appearance in a global championship final.

‎Enekwechi's throw of 22.10m is both National and African record in shot put achieved on the 5th of July 2025.
