Bayelsa Queens lock up Ghana Police Ladies

 
   Nigeria Women's Football League Champions Bayelsa Queens started their quest to get the sole WAFU B ticket for the 2025 CAF Women's Champions in Yamoussoukro, Côte d'Ivoire on a sound feeting.

Thanks to their 2-1 win over Ghana league champions - the Police Ladies.

The Prosperity Girls as Bayelsa Queens are fondly called took a 2-0 lead at the CKB Stadium Yamoussoukro before the Ghanaians pulled one back.

Bayelsa held on to the lead till the end of the game watched by a near empty stadium.

Bayelsa Queens will play their next match on Wednesday.

Hammer thrower Falana vows to rule Africa

It’s a medal within reach for the young Gabonese hammer thrower who was selected to represent her country at the CAA U-18/20 Championship, holding in Abeokuta, Ogun State, South-West, Nigeria. The 18-year-old who broke into the international stage a year ago at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, added that she is looking to revive the spirit of unity, commitment and collaboration — to back rising athletes in Africa.
